About the Event

In 2019, ESTIDAMA participated in a technical presentation hosted at the UNESCO Regional Bureau in Beirut, highlighting the role of Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) in addressing water challenges. The presentation explored innovative approaches that work with natural ecosystems to improve water availability, enhance water quality, reduce flood risks, and strengthen climate resilience. It emphasized the integration of green infrastructure, sustainable urban planning, and ecosystem restoration as cost-effective alternatives and complements to conventional water infrastructure. The event brought together experts, government representatives, academia, and civil society to advance knowledge exchange and promote sustainable water management in Lebanon and the Arab region.
