Addressing Root Causes of Conflict in Lebanon: Income Generation and Livelihoods Programme for Vulnerable Populations

Decorative Finishing Vocational Training Program

As part of its commitment to empowering communities through sustainable development, ESTIDAMA Al Hayat partnered with CESVI Lebanon to deliver a Decorative Finishing Vocational Training Program that enhances employability and creates pathways to dignified work.

The program was designed to equip unskilled and semi-skilled individuals with the practical knowledge, technical competencies, and workplace readiness needed to enter the decorative finishing and construction sectors. Combining interactive classroom learning with intensive hands-on training, participants developed essential skills in decorative surface finishes, safe work practices, proper use of tools and materials, and quality craftsmanship in accordance with industry standards.

Beyond technical training, ESTIDAMA provided continuous mentorship, technical supervision, participant assessment, and quality assurance throughout the program to ensure a meaningful learning experience. In collaboration with local businesses, apprenticeship opportunities were arranged for outstanding trainees, enabling them to gain real-world experience, strengthen their professional skills, and improve their prospects for long-term employment.

This initiative contributes to building a more skilled and resilient workforce while supporting inclusive economic growth and community development. It reflects ESTIDAMA’s mission to promote sustainable livelihoods through education, capacity building, and partnerships that empower individuals to become active contributors to Lebanon’s social and economic recovery.
