Cash for Work for a Better Environment
ESTIDAMA, in partnership with Beeatoona, contributed to the implementation of CESVI – Cash for Work for a Better Environment initiative, a community-based project, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), this project combined livelihood support with environmental and community development. Designed to strengthen social stability, improve public infrastructure, and promote environmental sustainability in the municipalities of Saida and Haret Saida.
The initiative provided 338 temporary employment opportunities for vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian refugees, including 102 women, generating nearly 12,000 workdays and supporting approximately 1,690 family members. Through infrastructure improvements and awareness activities, the project positively impacted more than 114,000 residents across Saida and Haret Saida.
